She is important!

SHE Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization of its kind (under the Societies Registration Act 1890) in Lahore, Pakistan. We are dedicated to spread awareness and commitment for a democratic and ideal society in terms of women rights and empowerment. We take the democratic and ideal society where we see justice, gender equality, and protection of women’s individual, social, economical, and political rights guaranteed at all levels. SHE Foundation means this for all women regardless of any ages, races, nations, religions, societies, classes and localities. Moreover, we are dedicated to ease the access to justice by improving their psychological well-being and resist gender violence to lead a respectful life with dignity.

SHE Foundation has been functional since June 20, 2000 and officially registered since 2012. Founder and President of SHE Foundation, Syed Afraz Ali Bukhari is a renowned personality for serving for women’s rights and raising his voice for social and gender equality of women in our communities. He is also editor of SHE Magazine which is his source of expression.

SHE Foundation is mainly focusing on enhancing physical health, spreading awareness about legal rights, increasing decision-making participation, encouraging development and grooming at individual and community levels of women and girls so that they result in meaningful and measurable changes in society. We mean to empower women up to the state that they can lift themselves up to gender violence and harassment to walk proudly and confidently in society and create vitally healthy lives for their families and communities now and for the future. We are working on several projects to serve Pakistani women in need to contribute in career opportunities, legal assistance, vocational training, social or gender rights and many more.
